The 15 BBL Foeder is 7'7” inches tall and 48” in diameter. It takes up a 4'x4' foot print and will hold 468 working gallons. It is constructed from 32 identical white oak staves and features a top and side manway, blow off pipe, 10% port, dump port, tasting port and adjustable stainless steel bands. Each 15 BBL Foeder also comes with its own stainless steel and white cedar stand.
New England sourced premium grade white oak
12” diameter top manway with integral 1.5” tc fitting on lid
16.5” x 12.5” oval side manway
1.5” blow off pipe, mounts directly to top manway and is hard mounted to the side of the foeder. When not in use it can be rotated out of the way.
10% port with butterfly valve
Dump port with butterfly valve
2” stainless steel bands. Each band is removable/adjustable via 3/8” stainless steel bolt and a cnc plasma cut flange system
Toasting and steaming options available. Typically a foeder intended for beer will be steamed until it has a “neutral” flavor and most of the harsh oak and tannin flavors are gone.
Constructed from 2”x 2” stainless steel tubing
Integral corner mounted tie down loops. During moving ratchet straps should be fitted in an “X” pattern over the top of the Foeder and tightened down snugly to each of the four corner loops.
The five legs, four corners and one centered, stand at 8” tall and have a 3”x 3” foot pad to evenly distribute the weight across the floor.
Bolted to the stainless frame of the stand are three 6”x 6” sections of white cedar which are what the bottom of the foeder actually sits upon. White Cedar is naturally rot and mold resistant and makes a positive interface between the foeder and the stainless frame.
The dump port of the foeder exits from the bottom left of the foeder and the butterfly valve is situated within the frame of the stand where it is protected from accidental knocks or tripping.
The stand is designed to be moved with a pallet jack or fork lift and can be picked up from each of the four faces or on the diagonal.
